Jess Gallagher is a teacher of 4 years. She has taught at Manor Lakes College in Victoria and is making the move to the Northern Territory to teach in the remote Aboriginal community of Ampilatwatja in 2015.
Throughout her career Jess has been involved the implementation and integration of ICT in the classroom. In 2011 and 2012 Jess was involved in a Grade 6 1:1 iPad program, a program which promoted student voice and choice. In 2013 the use of social media in the classroom became her passion, Twitter and Skype in particular.
In 2012 Jess attended uLearn in New Zealand and co-presented on the 1:1 iPad program running at Manor Lakes P-12 College. More recently she co-wrote an article with her colleague Michelle Meracis and presented her work with Twitter and Skype at conferences such as ICTEV.
